So, you want to plan a retreat?
Great Idea! .. now what?
It makes sense why so many people are wanting to "retreat". It is a time-tested way to get your church, group, or family outside of their busy, normal routines and into an intentional, relaxing, and encouraging environment.
There is something about stepping into a foreign land and stretching your comfort zone that opens the heart to see, hear, and learn things that otherwise might be buried underneath mental stacks of work, homework, and daily pressures.

We have seen hundreds, if not thousands, of retreats/camps pass underneath our "GR" gate, so believe me when I see that we know what works and what doesn't in retreat-execution. We have seen the over-structured retreat where every minute is scheduled with knowledge-stuffing lectures. Contrasted with the under-structured retreat where "Eh, we will plan it as it goes" is the camp-motto.
But here's the thing: God works in either!
Over the next 4 weeks, we will be looking at the 4 core components to retreat-planning: Purpose, Theme, Scheduling, Logistics. Stay tuned!
