Training and Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age
-
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in landscaping, maintenance, construction, or commercial kitchen cook
-
Basic first aid and CPR certified or willingness to complete

Pass criminal history check from California Department of Justice, Bureau of Criminal Identification, or Unites States Department of Justice National Offender Public Registry, and submit the voluntary disclosure statement provided at the time of employment
Responsibilities
-
Basic landscaping, maintenance, construction work around camp and commercial kitchen work.

Perform housekeeping, general light maintenance and kitchen duties as needed
-
Report all camper, guest or volunteer accidents or concerns to supervisor immediately

Help maintain a safe and fun environment for all campers, guests and volunteers
-
Other duties as assigned based on ministry needs
Skills:
-
Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining machinery (lawn mower, tractors, vehicles, chainsaw, etc.) - Preferred

Basic knowledge of property maintenance and repair (plumbing, landscaping, painting, fence installation, tree trimming, hanging signs, etc.) - Preferred

Basic knowledge of operating a commercial kitchen (chef, line cook) - Preferred
Hours worked per week:
-
No less than 30 minimum and 50 maximum

Weekend and holidays dependent on camp schedule

Must be able to stand and work outdoors for long periods of time
Compensation:
-
Depending on Experience. May qualify for on-site housing with basic utilities and internet included as a fringe benefit
